Our client had a diesel tank that had been in service for over 10 years. Tests showed that the fuel was contaminated with sludge and water. Using our innovative solution, we filtered the fuel from the tank and stored it separately on site. The tank was then cleaned, using an automated tank washing system. This had several benefits:

  • The need for confined space entry was eliminated, thereby removing a significant risk factor from the project.
  • No scaffolding was needed, so the project duration was shorter and fewer people were involved.
  • The volume of waste generated was reduced, resulting in lower costs and a lower environmental impact.
  • Less product was wasted and the cost to the customer was minimised.

Once the tank was clean, the fuel was once again filtered back into the tank. The client now has clean fuel in a clean tank, with no disruption during the service.
