Some of the largest oil storage tanks in the Republic of Ireland are fitted with polishing filters supplied by Fleury Engineering. One such tank is a standby fuel tank for a combined-cycle gas turbine plant in Wexford. The tank holds over 12,000 tonnes of marked gas oil. Using a combined filter and separator, this unit processes the fuel 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This ensures that any condensation, silt or sludge is stripped from the fuel before it can accumulate to unacceptable levels.
The client chose this solution as it has already been proven in this application on other power generating sites in Ireland and abroad. Fleury Engineering’s expertise in this area is recognised by the industry and is often called upon by operators and consultants.
